Beverly Hills Physicians Annual Bra Collection Drive for Breast Cancer Awareness Month Begins October 18
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) October 18, 2017 -- Beverly Hills Physicians, a Los Angeles Area health and beauty medical group, has announced that its annual bra collection drive will return starting on October 18, 2017. Held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the medical group will be requesting donations of both new and lightly used bras from anyone who has old or unwanted bras to donate. Beverly Hills Physicians notes that the bras will be recycled and then redistributed to women in need. Bra donors are invited to stop by during business hours at any of its nine Southern California locations, which are located in Beverly Hills, Encino, Lancaster, Oxnard, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, Thousand Oaks, and Valencia.
This year, the bra collection drive is also being held in cooperation with the breast reconstruction awareness campaign being sponsored by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and The Plastic Surgery Foundation. Beverly Hills Physicians has a page devoted to the bra drive on the campaign’s web site and the medical groups adds that it enthusiastically supports the campaign. The campaign’s website says that its goal is “to inform women of their breast reconstruction options following a mastectomy or lumpectomy.”
Beverly Hills Physicians notes that, like many providers of plastic surgery, it offers post-breast cancer reconstruction surgery. The firm notes that every woman is different and some may not want the procedure, while others may not be candidates for one or more health reasons. However, the medical group adds that many women may feel a void following a procedure and that breast prosthetics are often not sufficient to ensure that they look and feel their very best. Therefore, post-surgical reconstructive procedures – which are legally required to be covered by health insurance -- are often the best way to address the situation.
Beverly Hills Physicians adds that it has helped a great many of its patients emerge from the aftermath of a mastectomy or lumpectomy for breast cancer. The medical groups says that, as with any plastic surgery, an important key to the success of the procedure is ensuring that the patient has realistic expectations regarding the most likely outcome. Therefore, the groups says that it is careful to make sure that all of its physicians who practice plastic surgery communicate clearly and compassionately with their patients.
