Beyoncé Grants the Dying Wish of a 12-Year Old Brain Cancer Patient
(PRWEB) December 28, 2013 -- In a post published by Explore Talent, it was reported that the video of the young girl’s special attendance at the concert and her moments with Beyoncé was posted by the Philanthropy Program Partnerships on the singer’s YouTube Channel a day before Christmas.
Ivy McGregor, who spoke in behalf of the NGO, revealed in the video that Taylon has a brain tumor that cannot be operated on and that it has been her dearest wish to be able to see Beyoncé up close and dance with her.
McGregor also bared how the young girl’s spirit has touched her and how her words, “tomorrow’s not promised, next week’s not promised, but right now I’m here and since I’m here, I might as well live”, will stay in her heart forever.
During the concert, Beyoncé kissed and embraced Taylon before she sang a well-known Destiny Child song, “Survivor”. While she was performing, the young cancer patient was also happily singing and fist-pumping with her.
In an interview with the CBS Local News channel, Taylon shared how excited she was to finally have seen, talked, sang and danced with her idol. She also disclosed how nervous she was, but how she did not let this stop her from neither talking to the singer nor dancing and singing with her.
Taylon’s wish was granted through Beyoncé’s partnership with Make a Wish Foundation. Her early holiday surprise for the little girl was not the only Christmas gifts she unexpectedly gave out this year. She also gave out gift certificates worth $50 to Walmart shoppers before Christmas day.
