Bieber Bathos Elegy Opens at The Whitney Museum of Modern Art This Friday
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 12, 2016 -- Bieber Bathos Elegy, created by New York based artist Felix Bernstein, is a musical spectacle -- a hybrid of poetry, opera, cabaret drag, and deconstructive criticism of life in the fast lane and the price of fame. Justin Bieber's character appears on stage as a prophetic angel to critique and parody the show inspired by events from Bernstein’s life and his just released critically acclaimed Burn Book.
In a revealing interview with C. M. Rubin, Bernstein discusses Justin Bieber as icon, the meaning of Bathos and how a devastating personal tragedy gives his work purpose.
Bernstein is the author of Notes on Post-Conceptual Poetry and Burn Book. His writings have appeared in BOMB, Hyperallergic, and Poetry Magazine, among others.
