Successful restaurant owner, Marilyn Schlossbach invites aspiring restaurant employees to enroll in the Kula Café Training Program, a non-profit geared towards teenagers who want to work in the restaurant industry. Partnering with local non-profit, Interfaith Neighbors, training is held at Schlossbach’s restaurant, Kula Café located in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The purpose of the program is to provide participants with experience while focusing on perfecting their customer service skills.
The 16 week course includes four weeks of job readiness training, eight weeks of hands on experience in the Kula Café, and four weeks of paid internship with local restaurants. The cost of the course is $3,500. Donations and sponsors are accepted.
