Big Data Startup Booming in Indy, to Add 48 Jobs by 2019

To meet this growing demand for managing and analyzing this wealth of information, new Big Data firm Perscio, LLC, has plans to expand operations in Indianapolis with 48 new jobs by 2019.

As data production is projected to grow at a rate of 40 percent per year, and as social media and sensor technologies continue to expand the types of data available, it is more important than ever to have a systematic approach to sorting, analyzing and understanding the true value of Big Data.
Recognizing the limitless potential of Big Data opportunities, Perscio was founded by veteran tech sector CEO Bob Boehnlein in 2014. The company leverages open data sets, predictive analytics, sensor technologies and stunning visualizations to help clients transform their business. The team has several combined decades of experience in information technology, strategic planning and analytics, making it uniquely positioned with strong expertise in this budding landscape.

The company will create 48 new jobs with an average wage of $43 per hour by the end of 2019. In support of Perscio’s initiatives, the IEDC offered Perscio up to $775,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $60,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance-based, meaning that until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.
