Billboard Charting Recording Artist & Wyoming Singer and Songwriter Hits the World Performance Stage & Comes Back to Her Roots
Laramie, Wyoming (PRWEB) February 08, 2015 -- Wyoming native singer and songwriter, Jaren Voight-Cerf returns to her home state for a 10-day media tour February 10th-19th, 2015 to demo her latest folk music album. The album is titled “7-Year Itch” and is set for an official launch in 2015. The media tour offers demo songs from her un-released album, live and recorded interviews with the artist and photo opportunities.
Over the past decade, Montreal-based recording artist and songwriter Voight-Cerf’s music career has taken her around the world, across four continents, 11 countries and countless cities for live concert performances during worldwide tours in the dance music scene. Her tours made stops in the United States, Canada, Vietnam, Egypt, Lebanon, Romania, Russia, Belgium, Holland, Sweden and Malta. Some of the biggest names in the Electronic Dance Music industry, including a five time award winning world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren, hand-selected Voight-Cerf as a lead vocalist. Voight-Cerf has also worked with Antoine Clamaran, Matt Cerf and Dash Berlin.
“Jaren is easily one of the best singer/songwriters at the moment,” commented the five time award winning world #1 DJ, Armin Van Buuren. Voight-Cerf’s most popular song with Armin Van Buuren is “Unforgiveable” with more than 15 million views on YouTube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyUfJVqMtO0. Her #2 Billboard hit has her performing as lead vocalist in DJ Antoine Clamaran’s hit song “This is My Goodbye,” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vn5k2McPxw. Voight-Cerf’s songs in all genres have garnered more than 27 million YouTube views. She was also nominated for three international dance music awards, IDMA’s, for her work in electronic dance music. “It has been an honor working with and being recognized by such talented professionals in this industry. If I can be even a small part of making the world a better place through the beauty of music for everyone, including my family and children, I’ve accomplished what I’ve set out to do,” says Recording Artist and Songwriter Jaren Voight-Cerf.
Voight-Cerf’s passion comes back to her Wyoming roots: folk music with a blend of bluegrass and pop. Her original folk album is titled “Fixin’ it Upright” and features her powerful voice and an old fashioned upright piano. She recorded the album in Sweden with one of the producers behind ABBA and Roxette, Alar Suurna, as well as Jerker Eklund. Eklund describes the album as “A distillation of classic songwriters, Tori Amos and 70’s music with a European twist.” While Universal’s Elizabeth Squires says, “[The album is] a heartfelt, haunting and ultimately uplifting blend of folk and pop by way of Wyoming and Sweden.” Producers of Voight-Cerf’s new folk album, Seb Lefebvre of Simple Plan and Swedish Producer Rickard Nilsson, describe it as an alternative take on traditional folk, reminiscent of the works of artists like You+Me, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant and Mumford & Sons. “The song “Take Me With You” featured on my new folk album has already been remixed as “For All Time” by top DJ’s Aly & Fila and has garnered 270,000+ views since it’s June 2014 release, thanks to my crossover trance fans,” says Voight-Cerf.
Currently Voight-Cerf is previewing her folk songs from her “7 Year Itch” album starting with her Wyoming media tour in February 2015. This, as she continues to work as a songwriter for Canadian pop artists like Andee, Eva Avila, Lukay and Michelle Treacy. In addition, Voight-Cerf co-wrote one of the five Canadian theme songs, "We are Gold," for the 2014 Socchi Olympics, https://soundcloud.com/andeeofficial/we-are-gold-teaser. “To have one of the songs I co-wrote be featured at the Olympics and then credited by some of the press as causing the Canadian gold medal boom that happened on one of the final days of the Olympics is truly humbling,” commented Voight-Cerf.
