As a child, Kaine was painfully shy and insecure. She became aware that she was good with athletics when she was 6 years old. It felt so effortless for her and she even received medals as a top runner. Later in her life, she tried bodybuilding and that was how she found herself and her dreams. Bodybuilding consumed her mind and body completely. She found joy in what she was doing, and she also got one of the greatest achievements in her life through it.

She competed in other countries and joined the two ultimate competitions for bodybuilders which she won within a few months from each other, a feat that was never achieved by another New Zealander in history of more than 50 years. Her journey is truly remarkable, as she managed to achieve world success on a top level sport even when she was in a depressing state.
