Bio-Glass – Interior Innovation Award Winner 2014
Miami, FL (PRWEB) December 12, 2013 -- Coverings ETC’s Bio-Glass in “Topaz Blue” designed by Ofer Mizrahi was bestowed the Interior Innovation Award-Winner 2013, the prestigious international design award of the German Design Council. This award follows on from our “Red Dot Award: Product Design” Award and underscores Coverings ETC’s commitment to developing unique solutions that blend design, sustainability, and functionality. Launched in 2002 by IMM Cologne, the annual awards recognizes outstanding design in the home furnishings industry.
Bio-Glass received the “Interior Innovation Award – Winner 2014” distinction in the “Wall, Floor, Ceiling” products category. Topaz Blue, is the latest color to the Bio-Glass collection. All of the Bio-Glass colors are 100% upcycled and made from 100% post consumer recycled glass. No colorants, epoxies or resins are added during the manufacturing process.
Merging subtle elegance with durability, Bio-Glass is stain proof and scratch resistant making it ideal for kitchen countertops, backsplashes, and wall coverings. It is available in sheet sizes measuring 110” x 50” x ¾” thick. Bio-Glass is also suitable for partitions, facades, and other decorative surfaces. It is as durable as granite and, being closed surface, is easily maintained.
The German Design Council and IMM Cologne – the competition’s conceptual sponsor – annually select the most innovative high-end creations for their exceptional product design. As the winner, Bio-Glass in “Topaz Blue” will be presented at the upcoming IMM Cologne – International Furnishings Show taking place January 13-19, 2014 – in a dedicated display. Following this event, the jury will meet again to select 15 of the winners and confer them the Interior Innovation Award – Best of Best 2014.
