San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) September 26, 2016 -- BioBridge Global has received an Award for Excellence, the Balanced Scorecard Institute’s highest honor, for working to identify and fill strategic capability gaps in the organization as part of its strategic plan.
The BSI announced the 2016 Award for Excellence earlier this month. BioBridge Global was one of three organizations around the world to earn the distinction, given to organizations that “demonstrate significant breakthrough results using the balanced scorecard approach.”
BioBridge Global is a San Antonio-based nonprofit organization that is the parent company of the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, GenCure QualTex Laboratories and the Blood & Tissue Center Foundation.
The U.S. Department of Defense - Healthy Base Initiative and the National Social Security Fund of Uganda were the other recipients for 2016.
“The Award for Excellence is a tribute to the organization and recognition of all the hard work by our management team and by our Strategy Management Office, including Richard Juarez and J.R. Becho,” said Linda Myers, CEO of BioBridge Global. “It also validates the ongoing work of Enterprise Strategic Services in supporting the effort to build a strategy-based organization.”
BBG performed a refresh of its strategy in 2015. With input from managers and employees across the company, Enterprise Strategic Services facilitated the process of developing three strategic themes – world-class operations, expansion of current products and services, and transformation through new products and services.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Balanced Scorecard Institute,” said Juarez, senior director of Enterprise Strategic Services for BBG. “We could not have achieved this without Linda Myers’ commitment to the organization and to building the infrastructure we need to succeed.”
The ongoing development of strategy for BBG includes employees from every level of the organization. All Departments go through strategy refresh sessions on a continual basis.
“We would like to recognize the exemplary passion and involvement of the many dedicated people at all three organizations who implemented BSI’s unique strategic planning and management system, ‘Nine Steps to Success,’” said Howard Rohm, co-founder and CEO of the Balanced Scorecard Institute.
“All three winners are to be congratulated for focusing on improved performance and continuous improvement, as evidenced by the measurable results achieved.”
According to the BSI website, the Award for Excellence focuses on four organizational strategic outcomes:
• Becoming more strategy-focused, and improving internal and external communication around strategy
• Strategic alignment of people, processes, and strategy
• Effective use of performance measurement, analysis, and reporting to improve fact-based decision making
• Sustainable change in the organization’s ability to transform and adapt to changing internal and external circumstances
The release from the Balanced Scorecard Institute is available at the organization’s website.
