Bioscience Americas Participates in Toronto Stock Exchange Sponsored Event
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) December 02, 2015 -- Senior executives of Bioscience Americas had the opportunity recently to participate at a Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) sponsored event entitled “Essentials for Building and Funding Great Companies”.
This panel presentation and workshop was held in conjunction with the Canada-Arizona Business Council at Phoenix’s Biltmore Conference Center. This invitation only event brought together growing companies, investment bankers, venture capital investors, investment professionals, and representatives from the TSE. The main theme of the conference was focused on capital raising opportunities for dynamic, ground-breaking young companies like Bioscience Americas.
Attending for Bioscience Americas were company CEO Eric Stoffers and President Bill Deegan. “We were pleased to have been invited to participate in the presentations. Interest in Bioscience Americas is very strong and we were successful in generating a lot of interest from potential investment partners, both from here in the United States and from Canada”, Mr. Stoffers noted.
Mr. Deegan added that along with Mr. Stoffers, they were able to establish relationships that will result in positioning Bioscience Americas to take advantage of significant funding opportunities. “These relationships will help us execute our business plan to bring life saving therapies from the lab to the marketplace. We’re excited about the future for Bioscience Americas and our capital partners”, Mr. Deegan concluded.
Bioscience Americas is the international development partner of the Global Institute of Stem Cell Therapy and Research. Based in San Diego, California at the University of California Medical Center, the Global Institute is a worldwide consortium of stem cell scientists and biotechnology researchers. The Toronto Stock Exchange is considered to be one of the world’s most dynamic marketplaces for companies to access capital and drive growth. Last year alone, more than $57 billion in equity capital was raised through the TSE platform including more than $1.1 billion for life science companies like Bioscience Americas.
