The company have announced significant new additions to their automated mailing and print equipment in the second quarter of this year. They are confident this extensive investment will enable them to meet a continued flexibility in this aspect of their service offering.
The company have now installed the following:
• 5 RICOH Pro 1106 EX high speed mono printers
• An Astrojet 3800 high speed address ink-jetter
• A 2nd Norpak P9 polywrap inserter
The latest RICOH Pro 1106 EX Printer has a high speed productivity of printing 135 pages per minute simplex & duplex.
Wesley Sinclair, Production Manager of Baker Goodchild, said this week: “We have a nine paper feed station that can print over 40,000 sheets per hour without any compromise on quality.”
- Astrojet 3800
With the new Astrojet 3800 it allows the printing specialists to print an additional 30,000 customer addresses per hour, using up to 6 different colours. With this addition to the family, Baker Goodchild now has 6 high quality commercial ink jetting printers.
- Norpak P9
Having installed a 2nd Norpak poly line it gives Baker Goodchild the capability to process, print and polywrap twice as fast as before. Each Norpak has the ability to run up to 8,000 feeds per hour, with the misfeed detectors & windmill accessory for leaflet and magazine inserts we are guaranteed precision at all times.
Sinclair, says: “As we have grown over the last three years, it is essential that we update and increase our plant and machinery to keep ahead of our customer demands. In order to ensure that every customer mailing is despatched on time, we have invested in these printers that have doubled our speed of printed output. With the polyline we can now run bigger jobs back to back. For me it’s great, as I can be more confident than ever that we can handle the bigger volumes and despatch on time, every time.”
