BlackRidge Technology Sponsors Enterprise Computing Community National Conference at Marist College
Reno, NV (PRWEB) May 24, 2016 -- BlackRidge Technology is pleased to announce its support of the 8th annual Enterprise Computing Community (ECC) conference hosted by Marist College. This year’s ECC conference runs Sunday, June 12, 2016 to Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
“We have a great relationship with BlackRidge Technology. Not only does the work they’re doing at Marist College benefit the company, but also benefits both faculty and students, providing a real-world laboratory for students to work in.“ said, Dr. Roger Norton, dean of the School of Computer Science. “We are honored to have BlackRidge Technology as a sponsor for this year’s event.”
BlackRidge Technology, ECC conference gold sponsor, provides identity-based network security that stops cyber-attacks and protects against insider threats at the earliest possible time, on the first packet before network sessions are established. This technology provides the equivalent of secure caller ID for the network that allows only identified and authorized users or devices access to enterprise and cloud systems.
BlackRidge Technology cyber security advisor and conference presenter, Mark Graff, is a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer, cyber security practitioner and thought leader. He recently served as the CISO for NASDAQ and has also served as the CISO for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Currently he is the founder and CEO of Tellagraff, LLC. He will present, “Authentication: Who Are You Again, And Why Do I Need to Know?” which addresses the issue of reliable and effective authentication of persons, processes, and other entities on our computer networks persists in bedeviling network administrators, security practitioners, and ordinary users alike. In this talk, Mark Graff goes beyond identifying (and admiring) the problems with traditional and modern authentication technologies to discuss promising emerging approaches. He will also address the role of authentication in allowing us to distinguish between anonymity and privacy, related concepts which make surprisingly different demands on security designers.
Along with Graff, presenters include Chetan Dube, President and CEO of IPsoft, Reg Harnish, CEO of GrayCastle Security, and Jeff Jonas, Chief Scientist and IBM Fellow, and Connor Krukosky, a 19-year-old student who has installed an IBM z Systems™ mainframe in his parent’s basement. The ECC conference has brought together over 1,300 representatives from industry and academia, to address skills shortages in large systems computing and to develop ideas to introduce computational concepts earlier in a student’s educational experience. This year’s conference themes include Context Computing, Cybersecurity, Big Data, and Emerging trends in Enterprise Computing.
The Enterprise Computing Community conference is open to the public and free, but registration is required. To register, visit 2016 ECC Conference. For more information about BlackRidge Technology, visit blackridge.us.
