Blake Psychotherapy & Associates jumps into Holistic Health.
Columbia, MD (PRWEB) December 22, 2015 -- The staff and clients at Blake Psychotherapy & Associates are thrilled at the recent addition of Yevgeniya "Jenny" Libkhen, holistic nutritionist, to the practice. Prior to Jenny joining the staff, Blake Psychotherapy & Associates, LLC was Sarah Blake Psychotherapy and consisted of only Sarah Blake, LCSW. Two years later, in 2011, Sharon Cannon, Ph.D. and Stacey Rempert, LCSW-C, joined the group. Now, on the cusp of 2016, the practice is branching out to include other disciplines. Blake Psychotherapy has always offered individual, couples and family therapy. Now, in addition to mental health, Blake will be able to offer individual nutrition session and soon we will also provide group session for nutrition and a variety of mental health topics, such as eating disorders, depression and emotion regulation.
Thus far, Jenny has gotten rave reviews from clients, and the practice is working on setting up "back to back" appointments, so that clients can see both their therapist and Jenny, on the same day. Jenny works with all of the issues that are specialties of the practice including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, addictions and Asperger's, and creating balance. She is also versed in many other medical and psychological conditions. Individuals who deal with these challenges will benefit from nutrition counseling, as another way to improve health and wellness. To this end, Jenny Libhken, a wonderfully caring holistic health professional, has brought with her a wealth of information and a gentle approach to guiding clients toward improved self-care, in the areas of food and supplementation choices. With the addition of Jenny to the staff, the clients can learn ways to optimize both psychological and physical wellbeing, with increased emphasize on ways these areas intersect and affect each other. The groups goal remains, as always, a healthful and balanced approach to life.
Jenny started her journey into wellness many years ago. Starting with small changes in the way she managed her own eating, activity levels, and approach to minor aches and pains, Jenny came to experience more connection with and awareness of her body and what helped her feel better, clearer, and more on top of life choices. Intrigued, she chose to pursue specific knowledge and training in the areas of health and nutrition from a holistic approach so that she could help others take charge of their own health and wellbeing. She deeply believes in the importance and potential benefits of attuned nutrition, and is excited to be able to bring her passion to those she works with.
Jenny Libkhen received her degree of Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, Maryland. She holds an undergraduate degree from the Clayton College of Natural Health, located in Birmingham, Alabama, where she graduated with "Highest Honors" and a Bachelors of Science Science in Holistic Nutrition and Herbology Specialization. Jenny attends continuing education seminars to maintain a mastery of the ever-expanding science and information in the field—combined with the broad and extensive (almost encyclopedic) knowelge she already posesses, it allows her to stay at the forefront of her profession.
Jenny provides clients with personalized counseling, educating them in a variety of dietary approaches, uses of herbs, and other healing methods.
Jenny has availability for new clients to schedule appointments. Blake Psychotherapy is excited that more clients can begin the journey of a lifetime into health and wellness. You can call Jenny today at (410) 988-4002 extension #5.
