Blind Photographer Launches Erotic Art T-shirt Line
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 20, 2015 -- Going blind for most people would be terrifying. However, for Ben Britt, founder (and self-titled “Chief Instigator”) of the provocative new T-shirt company, devilsweb.com, it’s just another occasion for irreverence. “Going blind is a bit of a pain, but there are up sides. Like now I have to get much closer to see my semi-nude models when photographing them,” says Ben.
For most of his life, Ben had owned and operated a successful multi-media company in Dallas, Tx, contracting with big name companies such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Siemens However, in Sept 2014 Ben became legally blind due to an optical stroke. Though he retained some vision, he realized it was time to retire from his corporate obligations.
After considering his options, he decided he wanted to build a business that combined his love of photography, beautiful women, and fashion and design. He also wanted to be able to fully express his active and rather irreverent fantasy life while finally putting his bachelors degree in fine arts to full use.
As Ben considered his options, his thoughts began to turn to t-shirts. He already considered himself something of a t-shirt aficionado, and rarely wore anything but specialty t-shirts. Also, for many years, he had successfully sold his art at local Dallas art galleries. He thought his artwork, much of which were images of provocative women in outrageous scenes, might translate well to t-shirts. So he began researching the t-shirt industry.
“When I took a thorough look at the other specialty t-shirt designs out there, I realized that there simply weren’t any like mine…naughty, irreverent, provocative, but also stylish and artistic.”
Based on the sales of his photographs, Ben already knew that his designs were popular with a wide range of subcultures and alternative lifestyles. However, after he and some friends started test marketing his t-shirts by wearing them in public, he knew he had a winner. His t-shirts not only got noticed, they got NOTICED!
