Bliss Lawyers Expands Geographic Footprint with Increased Business Development Presence in Midwest, West Coast
NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today, Bliss Lawyers announced the addition of Molly Borden and Rodrigo Perez as Directors of Business Development handling the Midwest and West Coast markets, respectively. Borden and Perez will oversee the expansion, leadership and management of Bliss Lawyers' business development operations as the Company deepens its penetration into the Midwest and Pacific markets and bolsters its national presence.
Borden joins Bliss from LexisNexis, where she served as Enterprise Relationship Manager; prior to which she also worked at Kroll, Inc. and practiced as a commercial litigator at the law firm of Troutman Sanders LLP. "Having practiced law and used in-house legal services as a sales professional, I appreciate the unique way Bliss' model can bring value to our clients and candidates," said Borden. "I look forward to the opportunity to work with clients to enhance their legal teams and meet their business objectives by taking full advantage of our virtual model and our diverse talent pool."
Perez, also a lawyer, joins Bliss as a ten-year business development veteran within the legal, technology, and finance search sectors. His business development depth is coupled with commercial and civil litigation support experience during his tenure at UNC Chapel Hill. "I was attracted to Bliss because of its NewLaw model and its ability to offer a tailored solution to engaging high caliber talent with a sophisticated client base," said Perez. "I am inspired to find jobs for lawyers through Bliss by providing cost-effective legal solutions unparalleled by any other legal service provider in the market."
As a NewLaw model, Bliss is a disrupter in the legal profession, providing high-caliber lawyers to work on temporary engagements for clients (called "secondments") while the lawyers are W-2 employees of Bliss. The Company's business has grown to employ lawyers from New York to California and also offer clients the luxury of "extended interviews" where attorneys start on a temporary basis to ensure they are a good fit prior to the client hiring them directly as permanent employees. Bliss also handles more traditional direct hire placements. Running Bliss from a virtual platform allows the Company to charge clients less while providing generous compensation packages to its employees.
"Bliss provides our clients with cost-effective legal solutions, while offering our attorneys the ability to provide top-notch legal services while better balancing their lives," said Suzie Scanlon Rabinowitz, Co-Founder and Managing Director. The Company is certified as majority women-owned by WBENC -- a distinguisher for clients focused on increasing their use of diverse suppliers.
