Blockchain Startup & Co-Founder Honored in Business Magazine 35 Under 35
Minneapolis, Minn (PRWEB) September 06, 2017 -- CoCreateX, Inc., and co-founder Anthony Tabet, 21, was honored by the Minnesota Business Magazine's - Young Entrepreneurs 2017. The magazine recognized Tabet as part of their third annual cohort of Young Entrepreneurs who are 35 or younger and have either founded or co-founded a business in Minneapolis.
Tabet joins six other co-founders including CoCreateX’s founder and CEO, Nicholas Powley ('16) in being named to the Midwest’s most prominent business magazine young entrepreneurs edition. “CoCreateX has discovered tremendous, synergistic opportunities that arise from inter-generational, inter-discipline, inter-industry interactions and collaborations," stated Tabet. “We recognize the opportunity in helping creatives succeed by being who they are and doing what they love.”
A Churchill scholar and graduate student at Cambridge University and MIT, Tabet met fellow co-founders Nick Powley, Trevor Laughlin, and Mac Cameron while an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota in Cameron’s 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing course. Cameron, an Adjunct Professor at the time, was impressed by Tabet and introduced him to the community that ultimately became CoCreateX. The co-founders identified an opportunity to connect intergenerational, cross-industry inventors, makers, scientists, artists, and designers. Since CoCreateX’s inception, the company has catalyzed the growth of a large community that stretches across 6 major cities within the United States.
Brian Martucci’s recent article in Minnesota Business Magazine entitled "Evolution of a Utopian Vision", profiled CoCreateX’s unique communal accelerator technique, its culture, approach to business, and the community it serves. The CoCreateX house, an Invention and Catalysts Space on St. Paul’s east side reflects the company’s inclusive, eclectic approach to business. At Sunday open houses, musicians and graphic artists rub shoulders with engineers and medical-device designers in a workshop-like environment (complete with a laser cutter and CNC mill).
