Blubrry to Expand Directory with Easy Access to Hundreds of Thousands Shows

(PRWEB) April 11, 2015 -- The Blubrry podcasting team, a subsidiary of podcasting pioneer RawVoice, is expanding its podcast directory to provide audiences who have not previously had a centralized platform beyond iTunes full access to find and subscribe to podcasts. Details of the expansion announced at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show April 11-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).

“This expansion will give all listeners the ability to find and subscribe to new shows, or build and maintain custom playlists that they can subscribe to,” said Todd Cochrane, RawVoice CEO. “The site layout has been updated to allow for a better user experience.”

Blubrry also announced a new feature called One Click Subscribe on Android, which will be implemented in the expanded Blubrry podcast directory to rapidly grow Android listener adoptions, and fix long-standing subscription challenges by non-iOS listeners. “This expansion will allow the millions of Android users to rapidly access and subscribe to podcasts,” Cochrane said.

One of the main differences in the Blubrry directory is that audiences will always see the newest episodes for all shows in each specific category as well as having curated channels, Cochrane said. “This allows discovery of new talent that prospective listeners can subscribe to.”

The rollout of new features will be launched directly after NAB so as to have our staff in place during the transition to the expanded directory.
