Blue Buffalo Co. Sponsoring Petsmart Charities Rescue & Emergency Relief Waggin’ Programs
Wilton, CT (July 2013) (PRWEB) September 10, 2013 -- Dedicated to giving back to the dogs and cats that enrich the lives of so many, the Blue Buffalo pet food company is lending its support to the Petsmart Charities Rescue Waggin’ and Emergency Relief Waggin’ programs.
By transporting puppies and dogs from shelters in overpopulated areas with high euthanasia rates to regions of the country where adoptable pets are in demand, the Rescue Waggin’ program is giving tens of thousands of pets a second chance to find their forever homes. “Seeing these dogs find loving homes is incredibly rewarding. It’s a great feeling knowing they got their second chance,” said Bill Bishop, Founder and Chairman of Blue Buffalo. To date, this program has transported more than 62,000 pets to their new homes.
Along with their support of the Rescue Waggin’ program, Blue Buffalo is sponsoring the Petsmart Charities Emergency Relief Waggin’ program. A convoy of six trucks packed with emergency supplies such as food, crates, medical equipment, and more, the Emergency Relief Waggin’ comes to the aid of pets and pet parents when disaster strikes.
“As a pet food company, the health and happiness of pets is our top priority, so lending our support to these programs was a natural choice and an excellent way for us to give something back to the dogs and cats that bring us so much joy,” said Bishop.
