Bluefin Payment Systems and Merchant Link Partner to Provide Bluefin’s Decryptx™ PCI-Validated P2PE Solution to Merchant Link Clients
Atlanta, GA and Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- Merchant Link, a leader in payment gateway and data security products for major merchants, and payment security solutions provider Bluefin Payment Systems have partnered to provide Bluefin’s Decryptx™ PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) Solution to enterprises and retailers utilizing Merchant Link’s TransactionLink™ middleware for EMV and contactless payment acceptance on integrated POS (iPOS) systems.
Decryptx allows Merchant Link to provide major acquirers and processors the company’s PCI-validated P2PE solution through a simple API connection with Bluefin, with no change to the merchant relationship or current transaction flow – making it an ideal solution for Tier 1 and Tier 2 merchants.
Merchant Link specializes in gateway and data security solutions for over 300,000 hotel, restaurant and retail locations, enabling more than 4 billion transactions annually.
“Securing payment transactions has always been a primary focus for our company, as demonstrated by our tenure as a Participating Organization (PO) of the PCI Security Standards Council and our suite of encryption and tokenization product offerings,” said Dan Lane, CEO of Merchant Link. “We chose to add Bluefin’s Decryptx offering to our platform to provide our clients all the benefits of a PCI-validated P2PE solution through their current connection with Merchant Link.”
Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE solution suite secures card transactions by encrypting all data within a PCI-approved point of entry swipe or keypad device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant’s system where it could be exposed to malware. In addition to preventing the loss of cardholder data in the event of a breach, PCI-validated P2PE also helps companies reduce their PCI compliance scope; the PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption Solution reduces the 326 SAQ D to 35 questions for retail and call center environments.
“Merchant Link is an excellent partner for Bluefin’s P2PE solution because they enjoy a long-standing reputation of providing secure payment products to some of the largest retailers and enterprises in the U.S.,” said Ruston Miles, Chief Innovation Officer, Bluefin. “Whereas last year at this time, EMV was touted as being the savior in payment security, companies today now recognize that securing the POS requires a holistic approach, which includes P2PE along with EMV and tokenization. This partnership between Merchant Link and Bluefin is unique in that it will bring together all three important payment security technologies for merchants.”
In addition to Decryptx, Bluefin also offers PCI-validated P2PE through their PayConex payment gateway and their QuckSwipe mobile POS (mPOS) system.
