BlueStacks Launches App Player for Mac
Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- Mobile company BlueStacks announced its App Player for Mac today, bringing its "Layercake"Android-on-Windows technology to Mac. “A lot of people worked over a year on this and it's our fastest App Player yet,” said BlueStacks SVP, Marketing and Business Development, John Gargiulo. “The Mac version takes full advantage of the speed and retina graphics on a Mac, not to mention pinch zoom, two-finger swipe and other cool things you can do with the trackpad." BlueStacks' PC version of App Player launched in alpha in October 2011. The product came out of beta after winning Best Software at CES in 2012.
"Macs are perfectly built for App Player as they typically house a faster chipset than the average PC," said BlueStacks Principal Software Architect David Reese who led development of the Mac product. It's a great platform to experience everything the mobile experience can be on a bigger screen."
BlueStacks was founded in 2010 to bring the energy and creativity of the mobile app world to every type of device. The BlueStacks Network now reaches over 90 million users through direct downloads and mobile and PC integrations with Lenovo, Asus, Intel, AMD, and MSI. BlueStacks is funded with 30M from Intel, Samsung, Andreessen-Horowitz, Radar Partners, Redpoint, Ignition Partners and Qualcomm.
