BlumShapiro Announces New Tax Partner
(PRWEB) September 06, 2016 -- BlumShapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England, has announced the appointment of Alan Osmolowski, CPA, as Partner, Corporate Tax Services.
Osmolowski will provide accounting, business consulting and tax services to a broad range of BlumShapiro clients. His focus will be in tax planning for corporations, partnerships and individuals. He has consulted with numerous clients regarding business organization and structure, including the tax consequences of business acquisitions, reorganizations and liquidations.

Osmolowski comes to BlumShapiro from Grant Thornton, where he served as a Tax Services partner in Grant Thornton’s Technology Industry Practice within the New York - New England market territory, which includes offices in Boston and Westborough, Massachusetts; Providence, Rhode Island; Glastonbury, Connecticut; and New York.
Osmolowski has provided tax, accounting and consulting services to clients in a variety of industries, including technology, life sciences, manufacturing, professional services, automobile dealerships, pharmaceutical, retail industries and distribution. He has over 26 years’ experience assisting clients in identifying, evaluating and implementing tax planning strategies that result in significant tax and cash flow savings. Osmolowski will work with other members of the BlumShapiro team to address client tax issues and implement innovative and sustainable tax savings strategies. Areas of technical expertise include tax accounting methods, ASC 740, state and local taxation, mergers and acquisitions, research and development, tangible property regulations, and corporate tax planning.
Osmolowski, a CPA, is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Osmolowski received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance from Worcester State University in Massachusetts.
He is a resident of Holden, Massachusetts.
