BMA Management Community Receives Deficiency-Free Survey From State of Illinois
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) February 16, 2015 -- BMA Management recently recognized Heritage Woods of Huntley for receiving a deficiency-free survey from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The community, which is located at 12450 Regency Parkway in Huntley, Illinois, serves older adults who need some help to maintain their independence. The deficiency-free results appeared on the state's 2014 survey.
During the evaluation process, representatives from IDPH visited Heritage Woods to conduct a detailed review of all aspects of the facility’s operation, including the physical plant, nursing services, maintenance, food service and disaster preparedness. The survey process also included interviews with residents.
Heritage Woods has received a perfect survey from the state every year since the community opened in 2009.
"Our emphasis at Heritage Woods is on helping residents maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible by providing love, compassion and dignity, in addition to the care and assistance they need," said Administrator Susan Schaefer.
She added that "we strongly believe that communities such as ours serve as a great alternative to nursing home care or to struggling alone at home."
Heritage Woods is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois. The company, which is based in Bradley, Illinois, manages 39 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities.
"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," Schaefer says.
Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications.
Private studio and one-bedroom apartments are available, with each of the apartments featuring a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.
"Residents furnish and decorate their apartments to their taste," says Schaefer.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities and special events," says Schaefer.
Communities managed by BMA Management include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Batavia, Belvidere, Bolingbrook, Chicago, DeKalb, Gurnee, McHenry, Plainfield and Yorkville, Illinois.
BMA also manages the Churchview Supportive Living community in Chicago and the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living and memory care community in South Elgin.
