Boat Ed® Takes Part in Safe Boating Week 2015!
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- During National Safe Boating Week, May 16-22, 2015, the North American Safe Boating Council encourages boaters to voluntarily wear life jackets and practice responsible boating, including taking a state-approved boating safety course.
With June and July being the months with the most boating accidents, all boaters are encouraged to take a boater education course before hitting the water this summer.

Another major safety issue that’s sometimes taken lightly — but can lead to very serious and, at times, deadly consequences — is boating while under the influence of alcohol.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, “alcohol use is the leading known contributing factor in fatal boating accidents.” With more boating accidents happening in July than in any other month, we hope to bring awareness to the dangers of boating under the influence of alcohol this summer.
During our social media campaign June 19-July 4, 2015, we will share a video answering the popular question, “Can I drink on a boat?” and spread facts and statistics warning against the dangers of boating under the influence.
During this campaign we’ll be partnering with various organizations and businesses that also value safety and responsible drinking.
