Boat Propeller Safety Device Invented by InventHelp Client (FLA-2676)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 12, 2015 -- Because the metal blades in a boat propeller are so sharp and they rotate so rapidly, it is important that nothing comes in contact with them. Fortunately, an inventor from Stuart, Fla., has found a way to ensure the safety of anyone or anything that may inadvertently get too close.
She developed PROP PROTECTOR to keep swimmers, divers and others in the water safe from the blades of boat propellers. Similarly, it prevents a boat propeller from hitting and killing or injuring marine life. At the same time, it protects the propeller blades against damage when they come in contact with obstacles in the water. What’s more, it saves on insurance costs for boaters. On the other hand, it does not inhibit the natural flow of water through the front of the device nor its forcible release in back. Neither does it interfere with the rotation of the propeller and normal operation of the boat. In addition, it is convenient, effective, easy to install and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal interest inspired the idea. “For some time, I have been concerned not only about the number of manatee deaths that occur because the animals are struck by boat propeller blades,” she said, “ but also about the corresponding damage to the propeller blades.”
