Bobby Cloud Law Celebrates Six Years by Taking on New Challenges
Bakersfield, CA (PRWEB) August 27, 2015 -- This Kern County attorney takes special interest in custody cases to make sure the focus remains on the child’s best interest. California’s recent decision to pass a bill allowing a child to have more than two parents has brought many cases into his office, in support of the law.
Cloud believes Senate Bill 274 can repair some the damage that many guardianships have created for the children involved, as there are so many different ways for people to be presumed as parents. Just cause is the standard in which a guardianship is based.
Since a person must meet specific requirements to become a parent, it improves the likelihood that the child is the beneficiary in custody scenarios. “What matters in these cases, as with any custody case, is the best interest of the child. This isn’t about fairness for the father or the mother or the parental figures. It’s about the rights of the child,” said Cloud.
The court believes this bill will limit the emotional scarring that would be caused by separating a child from a parental figure. Cloud also focuses on a range of familial and criminal issues outside of parental rights. His diverse background has helped foster an ability to see each case from a range of perspectives.
After graduating from San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno, California, Cloud worked in the blue-collar industry. He spent time developing as a mechanic, real-estate agent and worked in social work, before earning his way into his position as an attorney.
As an established professional and partner at Bobby Cloud Law, Cloud works through educating clients, mediations and litigation. He said, “We work to ensure that our clients understand the legal processes they are involved in so they can make fully informed decisions regarding how our representation of their interests should proceed. We know that in many instances the only way to craft solutions that truly work is to have our clients working with us to shape their representation.“
