Book gives closer look of life of Saint Thérèse
SAVANNAH, Ga. (PRWEB) June 01, 2017 -- Father John D. Wright began having devotion to Saint Thérèse when he was entering seminary to study for the priesthood. The more he reads about her, the more this devotion grew. After having done extensive study on Saint Thérèse, Wright wrote a screenplay, which he then converted into a book, “The Smallest Spark” (published by AuthorHouse).
Published in 2015, the book gives readers a dynamic, multi-perspective narrative of the life of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, a late nineteenth century Carmelite nun. She lived obscurely as a cloistered nun and died young of tuberculosis. Her autobiography would later inspire millions of people all over the world.
“Everyone seeks meaning in their lives, and one of the primary lessons that Thérèse's life teaches us is the significance and beauty of our everyday lives,” the author says.
While there is extensive literature available that documents and commentates on the life of this great saint, Wright’s book is unique in that, while drawing from these numerous sources, it imaginatively narrates it from her perspective and the perspectives of those closest to her. His book is intended to give the feeling of being present there in the story, as the events of Thérèse's life unfold.
