Bosch Rexroth Approves Houghton Fluids for Filter Select Tool
VALLEY FORGE, PA (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- Houghton International announced today that Bosch Rexroth, a leading supplier of innovative industrial components, systems and services, will include Houghton hydraulic fluids in their Filter Select sizing software program, effective immediately. The Filter Select program allows users to input varying fluid types, viscosities and temperatures and evaluates the pressure drop across Rexroth filters. With close cooperation between Houghton and Bosch Rexroth, an extensive database of fluid information was developed and loaded into Filter Select.
The decision to add Houghton fluids to the Filter Select program was further reinforced based on the results of extensive testing conducted by Bosch Rexroth and Houghton to demonstrate that Houghton’s hydraulic fluids would deliver the high performance required for use by Bosch Rexroth. After 4,000 hours of operation with Houghton’s Cosmolubric B-220 FMA, the Rexroth vane pump showed minimal wear, the fluid was still in spec for use and the filters showed very little change in pressure drop while maintaining the filter functionality and integrity as designed.
