Brad Schmett Announced The Angels in America Boosts Luxury Real Estate
Rancho Mirage, CA (PRWEB) January 19, 2016 -- Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams today announced that the Gay Heritage Production of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches will be a significant enhancement for local luxury real estate thanks to the immense popularity of the much lauded production. The six-week run opened on Friday, January 15, 2016 and will run through February 21, 2016. It is expected that during the run many attendees will remain in town to shop for luxury real estate.
The internationally acclaimed play is set in the late 1980s and explores relationships between individual characters that are connected, in the highly charged and emotional era of the origination of the AIDS epidemic. Written in two parts by American playwright Tony Kushner, the work has won a long list of awards including the Pulitzer Prize Winner for Drama, the Tony Award for Best Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play. A complex work that often employs metaphorical and symbolic methods, the miniseries produced for television starred Al Pacino and Meryl Streep.
Schmett recently remarked, “This extraordinary work gives us a glimpse into one of the most difficult and tragic times in our history as society came to grips with the AIDS epidemic and the aftermath of the devastation it caused. I am very proud of the Coachella Valley and our continued support for AIDS Assistance and for every individual that has been impacted by this terrible disease. Angels in America will offer us insight and understanding, in some of the same ways as Dallas Buyers Club.”
The Desert Rose Playhouse has assembled a remarkable group of actors, many of whom will portray several characters in this particular production. Performances will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sunday afternoons at 2 PM.
