Bradford Christian Academy Hires Scott Hazelton as Director of Student Life and Athletics
HAVERHILL, Mass. (PRWEB) October 17, 2017 -- Bradford Christian Academy has hired Scott Hazelton to serve as Director of Student Life and Athletics for the high school. Hazelton will also assume head coaching duties for the school’s Varsity 1 girls’ basketball team which won the NEPSAC Class D New England Title in the 2015-16 school year. As Hazelton undertakes his new role at Bradford, Kerry Cashman, Athletic Director and girls’ Varsity 1 basketball coach will leave the school to become Assistant Athletic Director for Andover High School.
Hazelton has a legendary past as an athlete at the high school, college, and professional levels. In recent years, he has coached elite girls’ basketball athletes through the AAU NH Lady Rivals Club. Today, Scott’s driving motivation is to help all students thrive throughout their high school careers as they prepare for college and beyond. Bradford’s focus on the whole student in the areas of customized college preparatory academics, intentional faith formation, and strong co-curricular involvement are distinctives that drew Hazelton to Bradford. “I am very excited and grateful to join the BCA community as the Director of Student Life and Athletics. In his new role at Bradford, Hazelton will provide leadership to further develop the school’s athletic department at all grade levels. He will also continue the implementation of Bradford’s robust student activities program. Further, Hazelton will serve on the school’s spiritual formation and discipline teams and provide mentoring to individual students. Head of School Victoria Kennedy comments, “I am very pleased to have Scott join BCA’s administrative team to focus on student life activities that engage student participation in our positive school culture. His athletic experience will ensure that BCA’s athletic program continues to provide high quality, competitive programs for all of our students.” Hazelton will begin his new position at Bradford on October 23, 2017.
