Braintrust Consulting Group Hosts Week of Scrum and Agile Training Classes
Birmingham, Ala. (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- The Braintrust Consulting Group will host five days of Scrum training and offer Scrum Essentials, User Story Workshop, Agile Engineering and Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) classes in Salt Lake City, December 15-19, 2014. The classes are offered individually or as a comprehensive five-day CSD certification course. Agile Engineering is also offered as an in-depth three-day course. All classes are open for registration.
Braintrust has bundled a series of classes into a complete track to earn Scrum Developer certification, as outlined by The Scrum Alliance. The CSD-Track Two class combines our Scrum Essentials, User Story Workshop, and Agile Engineering Practices classes into an in-depth five-day training.
A Certified Scrum Developer is someone who has demonstrated through a combination of formal training and a technical skills assessment that he or she has a working understanding of Scrum principles and has learned specialized Agile engineering skills.
The CSD Track Two is intended for professional software developers and is ideal for candidates who already have their Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification or developers.
At the conclusion of the five days, participants will have a thorough understanding of Scrum Development and meet all requirements to earn Scrum Developer (CSD) certification. Members of the Project Management Institute will earn 35 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining their existing credentials by attending this class. As an alternative, a three-day Agile Engineering course will be held December 15-17 for those who may have already fulfilled other components of the Certified Scrum Developer certification. This Agile Engineering class is aimed at helping software development professionals and teams become more effective when implementing Scrum and other Agile software development methodologies. It is designed to deliver the core Agile Development Practices Learning Objectives of that program and should prepare the participant to successfully pass the Scrum Alliance CSD Candidate Assessment. Members of the Project Management Institute will earn 21 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining their existing credentials for attending this three-day class. Scrum Essentials course is open as a one-day course on December 15. It offers attendees an in-depth immersion into the world of Scrum and requires no prerequisites. The course is full of practical, real world techniques that attendees can implement immediately at their workplace. This class is ideal for Project Managers, software development managers, senior IT leadership (Directors/VPs/CIOs/CTOs) and anyone interested in enhancing workflow. Members of the Project Management Institute will earn 7 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining their existing credentials.
The User Story Workshop (October 9-8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) class is also offered as a one-day course with an in-depth focus on how to gather Agile requirements and document them as User Stories. This class is ideal for business analysts, product managers/owners, and anyone who wants to understand how to adapt this Agile best practice. The workshop is essential for those who are interested in learning how to capture stakeholder business needs, produce effective User Stories, create better product backlogs and learn the method of story mapping for better User Stories.
