The Story of Brandy Hill Farm
Brandy Hill Farm is a beautiful, family-owned farm nestled in the hills of Culpeper, Virginia. Although a newer establishment, it has quickly become one of the premier wedding venues in Virginia. Brandy Hill Farm is a country farm wedding venue with proximity to Washington, DC, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg, VA.
A one-hour drive will transport a prospective wedding couple to scenic surroundings full of rich history and a beautiful countryside view of the Blue Ridge Mountains that will make their wedding day memorable for years to come. Brandy Hill Farm has recently been restored to its historic splendor.
A tour around the property leads to the picturesque vintage barn is approximately 9,000 sq. feet and is ready to host the special event, accommodating up to 200 guests. As the couple takes a closer look, they will note that the barn has two floors; bride and grooms have used the first floor of the barn for their cocktail hour, and the second floor of the unique structure is utilized for the ceremony and reception.
“We have heard from many of our wedding couples who have commented about the barn”, General Manager Chloe Shin explains. “Many, many years ago the same structure housed a dairy operation on the first floor and the second floor was for hay storage. The barn remains as rustic and vintage as it had in days gone by”, Chloe said.
As one further discovers Brandy Hill Farm, they will see rolling hills and beautiful wildlife surrounding the property. The idyllic farm setting is not only a beautiful event backdrop, but an actual working farm where the proprietors are raising dates, plums, sweet persimmons, horses, and they even raise miniature horses and alpacas!
Brandy Hill Farm makes an ideal venue for the rustic chic and vintage wedding that many couples have been dreaming of. Many weddings have been held at Brandy Hill Farm in just one short year.
In fact, Brandy Hill Farm’s General Manager Chloe Shin and her husband were so taken with Brandy Hill Farm that they were the first couple to marry there in 2011, became the proprietors and officially opened the farm for business in 2014. (But that’s not their whole story –! Please read more about their wonderful marriage and the farm on the Brandy Hill Farm Blog).
