Breast Reconstruction Surgeon in Atlanta Donates a Portion of Proceeds From All Breast Augmentation Surgeries
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 26, 2013 -- This month, Dr. Mark Deutsch of Perimeter Plastic Surgery, an Atlanta plastic surgery center, is donating a portion of proceeds from breast augmentation surgeries to Susan G. Komen for the Cure ® in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
Dr. Deutsch is a passionate advocate for breast cancer awareness. He works closely with breast cancer survivors and is one of only a few surgeons in Atlanta specializing in DIEP Flap Reconstruction, a procedure that uses the patient’s abdominal tissue to reconstruct the breasts which results in a flatter tummy and more natural appearing breasts. Dr. Deutsch offers several other breast reconstruction procedures including tissue expander reconstruction, latissimus flaps and TRAM flaps.
“Supporting this cause every year is close to my heart because of the breast cancer survivors that I work with, but it’s also important on a very personal level because my mother is a survivor too,” said Dr. Deutsch. “Giving a donation is our way of honoring these women.”
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the largest breast cancer organization in the United States. The organization, founded in 1982, spreads awareness about breast cancer and has donated almost $1.5 billion to cancer research and education. The organization has over 100,000 volunteers and works all over the world. More information can be found at http://ww5.komen.org/.
