Brenda States Insurance Agency Plans Charity Event to Benefit Local Grandmother of Four Diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease
Brunswick, OH (PRWEB) October 12, 2016 -- Brenda States Insurance Agency, a family owned insurance and financial planning firm with offices that serve communities throughout the greater Cleveland metropolitan region, is launching a charity drive in honor of Christine Rafferty-Szabo, a local grandmother of four recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
ALS, also commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease or motor neuron disease, is a degenerative condition that affects the nerves controlling voluntary muscles. Christine was diagnosed with the condition in December of last year, and has since been in the care of her devoted husband, four children, and four grandchildren.
“Christine has been a pillar of our community for as long as I can remember, and this charity drive will help share her story and help her family with ongoing medical expenses so she can be as comfortable as possible,” says Brenda States, founder and director of Brenda States Insurance Agency.
To gather assistance for Christine and her family during this difficult time, the Brenda States Insurance team is making connections with families and community leaders throughout the Cleveland area in an attempt to raise support and donations for her cause.
