Dallas Tx (PRWEB) April 16, 2014 -- Brennon Vinet began his career as a Louisiana State Trooper, but today he is best known for his numerous companies, and is now embarking on his most recent entrepreneurial effort; The Vinet Group. Born in Delcambre, Louisiana, Vinet attended the University of Louisiana and Louisiana State University in criminal justice. When asked how a State Trooper becomes a world class entrepreneur, with a smile and a twinkle in his eye, Vinet casually shrugged his shoulders and said, “When I was young, my priorities were different.”
Explaining how he's always enjoyed the satisfaction of serving others, Vinet continued; “Back then my notion of service was more rooted in either charity or government work. It never occurred to me how vital sound business is to the service of others.” With a distant glance and a wistful smile, Vinet reminisced on those early pre-entrepreneurial days. “If I knew then what I know now,” Vinet paused and winked, “ I would have dreamed bigger.”
Between 1995 and 1999 Brennon Vinet set state records in law enforcement, including a life saving award, and awarded Trooper of the year. From this background, Vinet surprised many, who told him he would fail, by starting his own business, Universal Parts and Supply, Inc. “No one really believed I could do it”, Vinet said. What he did was start a business from the ground up and within the first year was generating a million dollars in revenue.
By the time Vinet sold that business in 2005, Universal Parts and Supply was generating more than $15 million a year with about 60 employees. 2005, of course, was the year that Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and Vinet's desire to serve led to the creation of a disaster relief company that took him to both New Orleans and Florida. From here Vinet acquired B&B Fire and Safety, Inc. and Coast Wide Investment Group maintaining a necessary presence along the Gulf Coast, and by 2006 was responsible for more than $125 million in sales.
Not just a businessman, Vinet is an astute entrepreneur who, along with his wife Terra, recognized yet another need and opportunity to serve and formed Gulf Crown Energy LLC, in order to offer invaluable assistance in cleaning up the BP oil spill along the Gulf Coast. It is this desire to help and serve people along with an impressive perspicacity that has led to the creation of the Vinet Group. “I started the Vinet Group because I saw a market need,” he said. “That's what I do best, recognize peoples' needs that most others don't.”
