Brent Brown Toyota Scion Staff Brings Christmas Cheer to Children with Autism
Orem, UT (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- In a repeat of Christmas past, the employees at Brent Brown Toyota Scion chose the company’s Christmas party this month to once again raise money for the Clear Horizons Academy for local children with autism. Autism in Utah is on the rise and is currently twice the national average. A combination of passing the hat and an auction brought in more than $22,000 for the school—four times what employees donated last year. With Brent Brown contributing a big screen TV to the auction, the spirit of giving was very present among the team at Brent Brown Toyota Scion.
“Brent Brown and his staff went above and beyond with this generous contribution,” said Carol Walker, director of public relations at Clear Horizons Academy. “These types of corporate sponsors have allowed us to double the number of special needs students the school serves in our community.”
Knowing that the internal rewards of giving enrich the lives of donors, Brent Brown employees are making good on their goal to make this an annual fundraising event and are encouraging other companies to do the same.

Clear Horizons is giving children with autism a chance to attain skills and achieve goals that will change their life trajectory forever. Autism impacts 1 in every 88 children across the nation. In Utah, the rate is much higher with 1 in 47 being afflicted by this disorder. Fortunately, there is hope for these children and their families. Clear Horizons Academy is a nonprofit school that offers each child a tailored education with the therapeutic services they need to succeed in life.
