Brent McCaffrey, President of McCaffrey Homes, Named Chair of the Building Industry Association of Fresno/Madera Counties, California
Fresno, Calif. (PRWEB) January 19, 2016 -- Brent McCaffrey, President of McCaffrey Homes of Fresno, Calif., has been named to a two-year term as Chair of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Fresno and Madera Counties, California.
Established in 1947, the BIA of Fresno/Madera Counties is affiliated with the state-wide California Building Industry Association and the National Association of Home Builders. Members of the BIA include leading home builders, developers, trade contractors and building material suppliers.
“Brent will continue the tradition of strong leadership for the Building Industry Association,” said Mike Prandini, Chief Executive Officer of the BIA of Fresno/Madera Counties.
The BIA’s mission is to cooperate with all branches of government – and trade, civic and veteran organizations – to defend housing affordability and economic competitiveness in the area.
“As President of McCaffrey Homes, Brent knows the challenges facing the building industry.” Prandini added. “He will work to achieve the common goals of the BIA. Through Brent’s diligent efforts, we know that he will be an effective advocate for the industry and our members.”
“It’s an honor to serve the building industry and homeowners in my hometown,” said Brent McCaffrey. “Housing is at the center of the American Dream. The BIA and its members play a vital role in helping our area’s residents realize that dream.’’
McCaffrey Homes is a leading, third-generation family home builder in California’s Central San Joaquin Valley. Brent McCaffrey is the third member of his family to serve the area’s Building Industry Association (BIA) as a volunteer leader.
Brent’s father, Robert McCaffrey, served as Chair of the BIA in 2004 and 2005. Brent’s grandfather, John Bonadelle—a legendary Fresno-area developer and builder—was also deeply involved with the organization.
“For nearly seventy years, our local BIA has been a key part of the fabric of Fresno and Madera Counties,” McCaffrey said. “It’s a privilege to lead this vital organization and an honor to continue our family’s decades of service to the industry and to our local area.”
McCaffrey also serves on the Community Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. In May 2014, he co-founded the McCaffrey-Knowlton Scholarship in City Planning at Fresno State, one of several philanthropic causes that McCaffrey Homes supports.
Having constructed more than 9,000 homes, McCaffrey Homes is now building in three communities in the Fresno and Clovis, California area: The Heights on Copper, Liberty Square, and The Gallery in Clovis.
The company is planning the first Village of Tesoro Viejo, a 1,600-acre master-planned community in Madera County, with groundbreaking projected for 2016. For more information on McCaffrey Homes, please visit http://www.mccaffreyhomes.com/.
