Brewer & Associates and Nonprofit Downtown Rescue Mission Initiate New Charity Campaign to Provide for the Homeless of Huntsville, AL
Huntsville, AL (PRWEB) December 11, 2015 -- With a new community enrichment program serving the Huntsville, AL area, Brewer & Associates teams up with Downtown Rescue Mission to announce a new charity campaign to raise funds in support of the area’s homeless people. Donations may now be made through the fundraising page.
Downtown Rescue Mission (DRM) is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the homeless throughout northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee for over 35 years. Providing compassionate services to those in desperate need at no charge, DRM never turns anyone away who needs their help. By providing food and shelter, as well as life-changing educational training and counseling services tailored to individual needs, lives are transformed. This time of year is especially hard on the homeless population. There is no Christmas joy when you’re hungry, heartbroken and alone. All donations are tax deductible, and enable DRM to provide hot and festive Christmas meals, safe shelter, compassionate services and hope for a better future.
“It’s starting to get cold outside, and we’re concerned about how our homeless population will get through the winter,” said Ross Brewer, owner and principal of Brewer & Associates. “In this season of giving, we should all be thinking of how we can help. When just $1.92 will provide one Christmas meal, it’s a wonderful way for everyone to help without hurting their own finances. If we’re able to reach our goal of $500 raised, we can provide food and shelter for over 50 struggling people. Now that’s a happy Christmas!”
