Bridgeport Gets an A+ as A+ Technology & Security Solutions Opens its New England Headquarters

Located at 1027 Fairfield Avenue, A+ Technology and its affiliated businesses have built a state-of-the art technology showroom and STEM education technology manufacturing facility within a 7,000 square foot, fully renovated space. The building will serve as the company’s New England headquarters in the center of Bridgeport’s emerging high-tech community, from which sales and support of its integrated security, audio/video, LED lighting and IT infrastructure solutions will be conducted.
The opening of this facility signals the first step in creating a high-tech ecosystem within Bridgeport, as the company that currently provides the technology to secure the city’s schools, parks, ports and public spaces will now also offer internship opportunities to local high school and college students, and ultimately provide career opportunities to the community’s technology-savvy graduates. A grand opening celebration, scheduled for today, July 12th, will be attended by community leaders, dignitaries and business officials representing the public and private sector, who will share in the festivities. Mayor Joseph Ganim will assist in the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

The office will be headed by Jorge Garcia, Director of New England Operations, who formerly served as the City of Bridgeport’s Director of Public Facilities and Construction Management. The office will initially be staffed by 7 full-time employees, with plans to increase that number to over 20 in the coming year.
