Bright Pink Debuts Innovative Women’s Health Provider eLearning Courses with Objective of Improving Preventive Breast and Ovarian Health Care in the U.S.
CHICAGO (PRWEB) April 10, 2018 -- Today, national breast and ovarian health organization, Bright Pink, launched two online courses designed to improve women’s health providers’ ability to stratify and manage their female patients’ risk for breast and ovarian cancer.
The eLearning platform (available at BrightPink.org/ELearning) features interactive, self-paced, case-based education that is Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Education accredited. Upon completing the courses, providers will be equipped to engage in shared decision-making with patients to appropriately identify their risk and develop personalized prevention and management plans.
This is the latest offering from Bright Pink as part of their Women’s Health Provider Education Initiative, which aims to improve patient outcomes through enhancing the quality of preventive breast and ovarian care delivery. To date, the initiative has educated over 18,000 providers through lectures at academic institutions.

Bright Pink partnered with the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health to receive CME and CE accreditation for each of the online courses.

In the development of their first digital program for a provider audience, Bright Pink built upon their past success in digital including their webby-award winning AssessYourRisk.org, which has helped more than 900,000 women assess their risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Following this risk assessment, women are encouraged to discuss their results with a provider to develop a risk-management plan that is right for them.
