About Quyn Lê Erichsen, M.Ed., RCC
Quyn lost her sight completely at the age of two. Her parents were desperate to flee from war-torn, communist Vietnam in the hope of finding a brighter future for her. Travelling in a small converted fishing boat and being lost in the sea for ten days, Quyn and her family survived from hunger, thirst, storms, pirates' attacks and more. Upon being rescued on to land, Quyn and her family lived in a refugee camp for four years, where they continued to experience the harshness of refugee existence. Upon her arrival in Canada as a fourteen-year-old girl with no prior schooling and a few English words, Quyn was determined to fulfill her dream to become a psychotherapist. She wanted to help others heal from their emotional pain and find meaning in their lives so that they have peace and contentment in their hearts and their spirits. Quyn subsequently obtained a B.A. in psychology from McMaster University and a Masters degree in counselling psychology from Simon Fraser University. Quyn is a very passionate psychotherapist who has helped people from all walks of life. She is also a public speaker and a radio show host.
