BRM Announces HOUSTEX Plans (Booth #242): Article and Video Preview Surface Finishing Solutions
(PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), American-owned supplier of flexible honing tools and industrial brushes, is announcing plans to attend HOUSTEX from February 24 to 26, 2015 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. The California brush manufacturer is also announcing the release of an article and video about BRM surface finishing technologies at HOUSTEX.
HOUSTEX 2015 features innovative manufacturing technologies, expert insights, and interactive opportunities for learning. Co-sponsored by SME and the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT), the tradeshow provides major manufacturers from across the Southwestern U.S. and beyond with an opportunity to connect with high-level buyers.
Inner Diameter and Outer Diameter Applications
As BRM’s new article explains, Flex-Hone® tools set the standard for inner diameter (ID) applications and NamPower brushes are ideal for outer diameter (OD) applications. As their name suggests, Flex-Hone® tools are flexible, resilient honing tools made with abrasive globules bonded to flexible nylon filaments. Known also as ball hones, they remove burrs and improve surface finish at the same time.
NamPower nylon abrasive brushing tools include abrasive disc brushes, abrasive hex-drive tools, composite hub wheel brushes, and accessories such as lightweight tool holders with flow-through cooling. This high-performance product line includes small-diameter NamPower abrasive disc brushes and NamPower wheel brushes with diamond abrasive.
Automated Finishing and Mini Brush Kits
As BRM’s new video shows, Flex-Hone® tools and NamPower technology are helping manufacturers to automate surface finishing and deburring operations. Flex-Hone® tools mount in most any machine spindle. NamPower nylon abrasive brushes are easily integrated with today’s production machinery, including CNC machining centers, transfer lines, and robotic cells.
For HOUSTEX 2015, BRM also plans to showcase its Mini Brush Kit, a special set of miniature deburring brushes that lets users try several different brush sizes before buying a standard 12-pice set.
