BRM Announces Twisted-in-Wire Nylon Abrasive Brushes (Tube Brushes) for Surface Preparation, Cleaning, Polishing, Metal Finishing, and Edge Blending
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2013 -- Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), maker of Flex-Hone® tools and the NamPower family of brush products, is announcing twisted-in-wire nylon abrasive brushes that mount in handheld power tools as well as CNC machining centers. Available for a wide range of bore sizes, these BRM tube brushes feature abrasive-filled nylon filaments for either light duty or heavy duty deburring.
Additional ID finishing applications for these BRM spiral brushes include hole cleaning, surface preparation, polishing, micro-burr removal, and edge blending. Safe and non-reactive, these versatile deburring tools provide an alternative to steel filament brushes. Abrasive and grit choices vary, but include aluminum oxide (AO) and silicon carbide (SC) for each of BRM’s three nylon abrasive tube brush types.
Deburring Tools for Through Holes and Blind Holes
Series 81AY tube brushes are miniature brush tools for deburring through holes (thru holes), openings that are milled, drilled, or otherwise machined to completely penetrate a substrate. Bore sizes for these tube brushes range from 0.032-in. to 0.50-in. and from 1-mm to 6.5 mm. Buyers can choose miniature AO abrasive deburring tools, as well as mini tube brushes that use silicate (SIL) or diamond.
BRM Series 85AY tube brushes are standard-duty deburring tools for bottom ends and blind holes, openings that are milled, drilled, or otherwise machined, but that do not completely penetrate a substrate. Bore sizes for these twisted-in-wire nylon abrasive brushes range from 0.125-in. to 0.937-in. Users can choose twisted-in-wire nylon abrasive brushes in various grits with AO, SC, or diamond abrasive.
Heavy Duty Tube Brushes
Series 90AY tube brushes are heavy-duty deburring tools that are made with galvanized steel stem wire and a rigid double stem / double spiral design. Bore sizes for these brushing tools range from 0.750-in. to 3.500-in. Stocked abrasives include 320 AO and 530 AO, but other nylon abrasive filaments with AO are available. Buyers can also special order tube brushes with SC or SIL abrasives in various grits.
