Brussels Scientologists Promote Drug-Free Summer
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 28, 2015 -- Beginning with a conference in June at the Brussels branch of the Churches of Scientology for Europe, coinciding with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Brussels Scientologists poured out into the streets of the city, and across the nation, to bring the truth about drugs to young people in their country this summer.
They carried their message in a Truth About Drugs bicycle rally, and locals were treated to teams of young people—in their signature turquoise T-shirts—cycling through the streets of Brussels, stopping in popular locales to hand out copies of the booklets and engage people in conversation on the importance of drug-free living.
From there it was out to the coast at Ostende to place copies of The Truth About Drugs booklets in shops and hand out thousands more on the boardwalks and beaches.
About The Truth About Drugs Initiative
Scientologists on five continents work in their communities throughout the year to empower others with the truth about drugs. The Church and its members are dedicated to eradicating drug abuse through education. The Church of Scientology supports The Truth About Drugs initiative, one of the world’s largest nongovernmental drug education and prevention campaigns.
It has been conclusively shown that when young people are provided with the truth about drugs—factual information on what drugs are and what they do—usage rates drop commensurately. Learn more at http://www.scientology.org/how-we-help/truth-about-drugs.html .
