Bryce Resort Celebrates 50 years of Family Fun with the Bryce Fest on July 4th in the Shenandoah Valley Virginia

A small very family friendly resort, the curvy mountain drive back off of Interstate 81 is well worth it because you find yourself truly in the mountains. A small village consisting of a gas station, post office, and community store with around 800 residents, Basye first welcome visitors in 1904. Coming out on the train to Mt. Jackson, Virginia and then taking a horse and wagon to the village where there was a hotel. Then in the early 60’s, Pete Bryce began the development of what is now Bryce Resort selling membership shares to a golf course and ski resort.

An all season resort, Bryce offers a winter skiing experience from mid- December to the end of March depending on the weather. There are eight unique trails, five lifts, top rated ski and snowboard school and a fantastic racing programs.
One of the favorite events at Bryce is the July 4th celebration. This year Bryce Fest is celebrating its 16th anniversary. All of Bryce’s summer activities will be open. However, the zip line canopy needs to have a reservation and will sell out availability for that day.
Bryce Fest features all of the food, fun and fireworks of years past and is providing some exciting new activities for the whole family to enjoy! Wes Iseli, magician extraordinaire will be performing an even larger show featuring all new spectacular tricks that will delight people of all ages. Shows start at 11AM, 1PM and 3PM! The evening will showcase entertainment beginning at 7 pm on the ski slope side with the Robbie Limon Band and the fireworks will begin at 9:30PM.
