Build.Com Rolls Out New Version of Online Store for More Streamlined and Educational Shopping Experience
Chico, CA (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- In a commitment to provide a more fluid and enjoyable shopping experience, Build.com, the largest online-only home improvement retailer rolled out Build.com 2.0 last month, complete with multiple enhancements to its already efficient way to shop online.
“The new site is more focused on the consumers’ needs, easier to use, and serves up personalized content,” said Chrysten Cotney, Category Manager of Build.com. “We put our customers first and now offer unique content to inspire, plan and educate, as well as to teach users how to be a DIY customer.”
Build.com 2.0 offers a cleaner and more stylish look, and keeps its focus trained on the customer. Features like user-generated content, an improved user feedback tool (which allows customers to provide instant feedback on their shopping experience) and simplified navigation and product filtering are closing the gap between the customer and the online store.
Some of the most significant improvements are the visually stunning Learning Center, Inspiration Gallery and Video Center.
“We offer images to be inspired by, along with content and videos for the education phase of shopping,” Cotney said. “These include buying guides, design tip articles, Best For Your Budget articles and several DIY-related articles, with videos.”
And after a few months of “opt-in” Beta testing, harvesting performance data and fine-tuning, Build.com isn’t done yet.
“We will continue to test, listen and improve,” Cotney said. “We already have quite a few projects underway to continue making this the best home improvement shopping experience.”
