Business Architecture Guild Announces the Winner of the First Business Architecture Guild Case Study Award
Soquel, California (PRWEB) April 17, 2016 -- Mr. Navid Kheradmand, of the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, was presented with the award at the 4th Annual Business Architecture Innovation Summit. The Summit was held this past March in Reston, Virginia. Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission was selected from among 5 finalists. The finalists represented several industries including government, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and retail. Each finalist had the opportunity to present their case studies at the Summit.
In addition to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, finalists presenting case studies included Consumers Energy, Credit Suisse Group, HealthTrust, and VF Corporation. These presentations are now available on the Public Resources page of the Business Architecture Guild website.
Here is what Mr. Kheradmand had to say about his award.
"Attending the Summit and participating in the case study panel has been an invaluable experience for me. *The Business Architecture Guild produces A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge® (BIZBOK® Guide) in a series of iterative stages to incorporate practice-based experience and expertise of Guild members who represent a large and growing community of practice. Much of the success of the Guild is due to the active participation and collaboration among Guild members. The catalyst for the case study award arose out discussions that occurred at the Third Annual Business Architecture Innovation Summit in 2015. Members observed that as the field of business architecture is maturing, more and more success stories are emerging. Longtime member, Cheryl Timko of Merck took the lead on seeking out some of these great success stories. Cheryl presented ideas for collecting case studies in a member blog. Through the blog, known to members as “The Staging Zone”, the general membership of the Guild can weigh in on potential initiatives by making suggestions, showing their support or volunteering.
Cheryl received immediate support from the membership and the case study team quickly formed. Guild Board Director Janice Lewis of Pfizer and others came up with the idea that there should be a case study award. Over the past year, the team worked to discover and select success stories and consolidate these stories into relatable case studies. Their hard work paid off with this year’s award presentation. The Guild hopes that this first award represents the beginning an annual tradition for recognizing the remarkable gains organizations large and small across many vertical industries and regions in leveraging the real value of business architecture and related best practices.
