Business Executive Whitney Carpenter Begins Community Presentations for "Project Transition"
Hagerstown, Md (PRWEB) June 03, 2016 -- Project Transition co-founder and Author Whitney Carpenter will begin community presentations to women in transitional programs starting June 20, 2016 at Bethel Gardens. The goal of the community outreach is to locate women who need further assistance and rehabilitation into the working world after their transitional support is complete. Carpenter said, “My co-founder Rosa and I have found that there is a gap in assistance for women in our community. They graduate out of their programs and are thrown into real life without knowing how to succeed. This is where Project Transition can help. We help women learn how to take the next steps whether it is in business, health, and education. We can help them further their skills and build a more sustainable future.”
The community outreach will continue in different locations around Washington County for the next 4 months. In October, Project Transition will launch beginning with a day-long conference held at Hagerstown Community College that will include twenty workshops for the women to participate in. Upon completion of the conference thirty women will be invited to go through the 9-month program. Carpenter said, “I am giving back to the community by self-funding this first program. Once we have statistics to prove that this is a successful and proven model, we can seek out grants and other ways to fund it long-term.”
Sponsorships are available for those interested in taking part in ‘Project Transition’. Sponsorships run from $250-$750. Current sponsors include: United Bank, Stacey Nikirk at Remax, George Mason Mortgage, Sugar & Spice Home Staging and Redesign, Prep Your Loan, Billwood Properties, Kristen Holt, Mia Collins, Hagerstown Start Up, Mary Kay, TLS & Associates, HCC, and Ovation PR & Advertising.
