Business Protection Specialists, Inc. Appoints Heil a Senior Security Advisor
Victor, N.Y. (PRWEB) April 24, 2015 -- Business Protection Specialists, Inc. (BPS) announced today that Ronald D. Heil, CPP, CSC, CHS has joined the company as a senior security advisor. He was most recently with Transystems Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he led the security consulting division and all business development efforts. Heil will remain in Pittsburgh as part of the BPS team.

A certified security consultant, Heil began his career in the United States Air Force, where over the course of 20 years he held multiple leadership roles in security, law enforcement and emergency management. As a commissioned officer, he managed complex nuclear security compliance, antiterrorism, vulnerability assessment, disaster incident response, force protection, physical security, asset protection, information/technology protection, and law enforcement programs in a variety of line and staff positions. Upon leaving the Air Force, Heil worked for a professional architectural and consulting firm, leading security consulting and security system design operations.
He earned his M.S. in Management from Troy State University in Alabama and his B.A. in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with ASIS International, a Certified Security Consultant (CSC) with the International Association of Professional Security Consultants and is Certified in Homeland Security (CHS) by the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security.
A two-term board member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants, he has chaired the Blue Ribbon Panel to establish the body of knowledge for security consultants. Additionally, Heil chaired the certification committee for the “Certified Security Consultant” credential, which he has held since 2006. He also is a member of the Supply Chain and Transportation Security Council for ASIS International and is an active committee member for ASIS International credentials. Heil is a regular contributor of articles and commentary to “News in Motion,” a 10,000 subscriber email newsletter.
