BusinessRadioX®'s Silver Lining in the Cloud Features Fontaine Huey With the Center for the Visually Impaired
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Co-hosts Dominick Rainey and Nikole Toptas of BusinessRadioX®'s Silver Lining in the Cloud recently welcomed to the studio Fontaine Huey with the Center for the Visually Impaired to talk about their services in the Atlanta area.
Fontaine Huey is President of the Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI), Georgia’s largest comprehensive, fully accredited organization providing vision rehabilitation services. According to Huey, "Each year, more than 5,000 people from Atlanta and all over Georgia turn to CVI to help them adjust to or improve a life with limited or no sight."
The programs of CVI include support groups, The Florence Maxwell Low Vision Clinic, New View adult rehabilitation services, STARS program for elementary to high school students, and a BEGIN program for infants and children up to age five.
Named President of CVI in October this past year, Huey brings over 15 years experience including corporate and foundation relations, annual fund, and individual and planned giving. She couples her experience fundraising in the Atlanta community with her skill and sensitivity interacting with diverse populations to lead programming for CVI. "Our mission," said Huey, "is to empower people impacted by vision loss to live with independence and dignity."
