Long Island City, NY (PRWEB) October 30, 2015 -- Bussani Mobility Team is offering a 3-hour WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) training course for taxi and livery drivers in the New York Metro area. The course is approved by NYC’s Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) and is mandatory for anyone with a TLC license.
The WAV training teaches drivers everything they need to know about how to transport passengers with disabilities. The course covers: disability regulations and requirements, safety procedures for securing passengers using various types of mobility equipment, sensitivity training and etiquette for interacting with people with disabilities, and information about Accessible Dispatch.
Morning and afternoon classes are available at select times Monday through Friday at Bussani Mobility’s Long Island City location (41-43B 39th Street). At the completion of each class, drivers receive their certification diplomas and Bussani Mobility submits notification of their certification to the TLC for a worry-free experience.
